"As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in Him." – 1 John 2:27

Reflection:

Isn't it remarkable that we have Someone to teach us all things and continually remind us of His presence in our lives? That Someone is the Holy Spirit who offers a powerful work of completeness for all believers. In Him, we have everything we need and much more, including the assurance that He lives in us and will gently teach us as we journey through this life. The Holy Spirit also helps us know right from wrong, and He is a truthful leader and guide we can always trust . . . if we surrender to His will. The all-important "if."

Can you imagine a rushing spring that never dries up? Mind-boggling, I know. Yet, that is the very result of relinquishing our will to the work of the Holy Spirit. An amazing thought!

So, this Advent Season, why not cling to the precious promise our Lord and Savior gave to His disciples before He ascended to heaven, two thousand years ago? The Christ-Child in the manger truly is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Let us sing, rejoice, and be glad!

Christmas blessings,
