October 2010

My Dear Reader-Friend,

Oh, what happy memories I have of my recent book tour to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York! All of you who came to have your books signed were so friendly and sweet to me. Your many encouraging comments continue to warm my heart and spur me onward!

I was also pleased to make several new friends in the Lancaster County Amish community—in Quarryville and in Paradise—on the weekends during my tour schedule. I'll never forget those delightful times of getting acquainted in Amish homes and making lasting friendships... and the bright eyes and precious smiles of the little school-age boys, all dressed in their "for good" Sunday clothes, who raced after our rental car on the way near Salem Road!

Many thanks to the sales reps, booksellers, and my publicists at Bethany House... and, most of all, to my devoted reader-friends who waited in long, long lines during my fall book tour. To those who worked hard behind the scenes to make the tour such a resounding success, I am so grateful!

Now, I'm home again in Colorado wrapping up the edit for Book Two: The Judgment, and will soon start writing the finale for The Rose Trilogy, after our autumn vacation to beautiful New England. On October 26th, while in Westbrook, Connecticut, I will be doing a book talk at the Congregational Church at 6 PM. I'd love to see you there. We're serving Whoopie pies straight from the Bird-in-Hand (PA) Bakery. Nothing like 'em!

Abundant autumn blessings from our house to yours,
